Our services provide tailored solutions designed to meet your unique needs with efficiency and effectiveness.

Public Safety Training & Response Group delivers a range of public safety training and commercial emergency response services, including:

  • A range of nationally accredited public safety courses for individuals, community groups, schools, business, and emergency services. Public Safety Training & Response Group is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 45395). Trainers are ex- military and ex-emergency services personnel with real-world expertise.
  • Private search and surveillance services for individuals, communities and business and surge support for emergency services and government, utilising helicopters, uncrewed aircraft (drones), high clearance vehicles, boats and more.
    Operational personnel are ex-military and ex-emergency services personnel with real-world expertise.
  • Uncrewed aircraft (drone) licence and aviation safety training, for recreational and commercial users.
  • Facilities hire, including fully equipped training rooms and media studio.
  • Disaster preparedness workshops, covering fire, flood, and emergency response techniques.
  • Community engagement events, including safety awareness campaigns and public demonstrations.
  • Retailer and wholesaler of NRS (Northwest River Supplies) professional rescue equipment (such as wet suits, helmets,
    watercraft etc).

Public Safety Training & Response Group is a multifaceted operation that includes partner businesses that provide various emergency response services.

These are:

  • One Response provides emergency response services, including search on land or sea, natural disaster response and recovery support, and incident management. It owns a suite of emergency support assets including helicopters, Inflatable Rescue Boats, jet skis, high-clearance vehicles, drones, and supportive safety equipment, all operated by trained ex-military and ex-emergency services personnel, and ready to be deployed in response to emergency and disaster situations, land and sea, anywhere in Australia.
  • Special Mission Helicopters is a high-level helicopter service provider, offering aerial support and transport for government, corporate or private requirements, including search and reconnaissance over land or water, aerial firefighting support, emergency organ transfer, medical retrievals of injured bushwalkers and climbers (for example), transport of dignitaries and specialised police, and more. It is expanding services to includes search and rescue, medical evacuation, and water bombing.
  • Uncrewed/Remote Pilot Services provides accredited drone services, including CASA-approved uncrewed pilot licence training, search services, real-time imagery collection, mapping and 3D modelling of disaster areas. We service needs in industries such as agriculture, construction and infrastructure, local government (for natural disaster and flood mitigation planning and monitoring, infrastructure inspections, damage assessments), real estate, mining, law enforcement and more. Public Safety Training & Response Group is the Australian wholesaler for the Fotokite tethered drone systems.

Public Safety Training & Response Group is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #45395) that delivers CASA-approved Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) training courses as well as a range of commercial drone services:

  • The training courses are comprehensive, delivering instruction in the physical aspects of drone piloting along with important safety protocols, training in the effect of weather on flying capabilities, legal guidelines, airspace regulations, emergency procedures, and more. The training meets CASA safety requirements, delivers real flying time, and on successful completion, a Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
  • The drone services include real-time imagery and video collection, mapping and 3D modelling of disaster areas and other locations (agricultural land, mine sites, and more), aerial firefighting support (including dropping incendiary balls to assist with fuel reduction in inhospitable and hard-to-access forestry locations), item searches for law enforcement and more.

The Public Safety Training & Response Group head office includes two training rooms, fully equipped incident control room, a media/TV recording studio, helicopter rescue crew training hardware, executive offices, support offices and facilities, and a boardroom. These facilities are utilised for administration, training courses and are available for hire. There is ample off-street parking.

The studio is designed to TV/broadcast standard and can be used for all media and live streaming. It is equipped with lighting and a green screen, is well insulated for improved sound quality. It can be used in the production of films, videos (including podcasts), stills photography and media training.

During emergency response operations, when the nearby incident management room is being used, the studio can be utilised conveniently for onsite interviews with media representatives.

Yes, there is ample off-street parking.

TRAINING COURSES

Our training courses are designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform with confidence, whether in the workplace, community, or specialised environments.

Public Safety Training & Response Group is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 45395) offering a wide range of nationally accredited public safety courses, Remote Pilot License (RePL) training, and helicopter pilot and rescue crew competency qualifications.

We also deliver high-level floodwater and swift water rescue and response training under licence from Rescue 3 International.

The enrolment requirements differ for each course.

Full details of requirements are detailed in the individual course information.

Participants require general literacy and numeracy skills. Those without formal secondary qualifications may be required to complete the Public Safety Training & Response Group Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLN&D) test.

Some courses require satisfactory completion of prerequisite units or qualifications (where applicable). In some courses, participants must complete online learning and assessment prior to attending face-to-face training.

For online learning, internet and computer access is required, along with general computer skills. The computer must be able to play audio.

Students must be 18 years of age or above to enrol in most courses. Some foundational courses allow students as young as 14 with written permission from a parent or guardian.

Participants require a Unique Student Identifier (USI), a number required under government legislation for anyone undertaking accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET). Obtaining a USI is free. To apply for a USI, visit: https://www.usi.gov.au

Public Safety Training & Response Group conducts courses primarily at the Head Office location in Oxley just of Ipswich Road. We have a range of facilities available to deliver training from fully equipped training rooms to state-of-the-art training props and equipment. In addition, Public Safety Training & Response Group offers the ability to deliver training in many locations across Southeast Queensland, and further abroad.

We specialise in delivering group-based sessions ideal for schools and emergency service teams where we bring the training to you.

Public Safety Training & Response Group conducts a wide range of courses that are delivered with a mix of face-to-face training, practical skills lessons, and online learning.

For courses utilising online learning, access to the course material will be provided. Materials can be printed by participants if desired.

For courses requiring printed material, it will be provided to participants.

Yes. If a participant has studied or worked in the field and believes that they may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), they should indicate this on the enrolment application form or contact the Public Safety Training & Response Group student services team to discuss.

Participants need to apply and provide evidence for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), including previous results and transcripts. Credits will not be awarded if satisfactory evidence is not provided.

We also offer Credit Transfer (CT) to recognise units you’ve already completed with another Australian RTO—simply provide a Statement of Attainment or authenticated USI transcript showing matching unit codes. We verify eligibility in line with ASQA standards during enrolment and, where granted, CT reduces your study time and course load.

For courses that include online learning, all participants will be sent an email with login details and a password to the Public Safety Training & Response Group online learning portal.

This enables participants to access relevant course materials.

For courses that include face-to-face learning and on-site practical learning, course administrators will provide details.

    aXcelerate, and contact them, arrange a video conference or give them a phone call.

Rescue 3 International is a global accrediting body for state-of-the-art technical flood and Swiftwater rescue courses. Public Safety Training & Response Group is licenced by Rescue 3 International to deliver various internationally recognised courses required by people in aiding those in high-risk environments.
